This trail begins along Weiler Ranch Trail. It winds through a small eucalyptus forest, then changes to open grassland. Near the top the trail changes again to coastal chaparral. Throughout your hike you will have excellent views of Montara Mountain, the Middle Fork of San Pedro Creek valley and the coast. You will gain 500 feet in elevation in the first half of your hike and then return to the valley floor and use 0.4 mile of Weiler Ranch Road to form a 1.8-mile loop.
