On Saturday, October 21, the new pump track opens at Flood Park. Shaded by towering redwood trees, the paved circuit of rollers and banked turns provides a new recreational opportunity for those on bicycles, skateboards, and scooters, who can ride the track solely by "pumping"—generating momentum by up and down body movements—instead of pedaling or pushing.
Please see rules for using the track below. We encourage visitors who are coming to Flood Park specifically to use the pump track to park near the fields for easy access.
Completion of the pump track is part of the first phase of construction for Realize Flood Park, a project focused on redesigning and revitalizing Flood Park in collaboration with the community. See the full landscape plan and learn more about the project at Realize Flood Park
