This area is approximately 50' with a 0% slope and a partial paved and partial wood chips surface. Oak trees provide some shade. Expect warm to hot weather in the summer; light breeze in the afternoons. This area’s location near the playground and adjacent to a small lawn make it ideal for children’s birthday parties. (Because of size, no jump houses are allowed with the Manzanita Picnic site) Barbecues can be raised or lowered. Parking is shared among all park users and is available on a first-come-first-served basis. Private vehicles are not allowed in the picnic areas. Deliveries, caterers, and groups with large quantities of supplies must be approved by park staff.
