North Fair Oaks has so much community pride and it shows every year during our “Be Seen Keepin’ It Clean” Annual neighborhood clean-up event.
We all value cleaner sidewalks, streets and neighborhoods. This year, District 4 hosted the 7th Annual “Be Seen Keepin’ It Clean” in North Fair Oaks where nearly 150 volunteers participated to beautify the community. It was particularly heartwarming that all ages took part in this clean up from the very young (even toddlers) to seniors. Over the past 6 years, nearly 1200 volunteers have participated, and together have picked up over 30,000 pounds of trash. That is very impressive!
This event would not be possible without the participation of our sponsors and partners. Thank you to: Recology San Mateo County, San Mateo Credit Union, Sequoia Healthcare District, San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, Redwood City, Chavez Supermarket, Connoisseur Coffee Company ., North Fair Oaks Forward - Office of Community Affairs, San Mateo County Office of Sustainability, and El Paisano.
Keep an eye out for “Be Seen Keepin’ It Clean” in 2020.
