The 7th annual Connect19 technology conference was held on October 29th in partnership with Assembly Speaker Pro Tempore Kevin Mullin, Assembly member Marc Berman, SAMCEDA, and the Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce. Thank you to Google for hosting this conference in their Grove Experience Center in Redwood City. Over 150 elected, educators, non-profits and business leaders gathered to learn about the future of cities, housing, and the future of the workforce.
Speakers discussed how we as leaders can step up to help our communities adapt to and take advantage of the new technologies that are shaping our work, homes, and lives.
We honored Genentech with the 2019 Connect Award for Futurelab, a science education program to inspire the next generation of scientists which also improves college readiness and inspires students to pursue careers in STEM fields.
