Queer Qumbia

Queer Qumbia is political project that brings people together around musica tropical - cumbia, merengue, salsa, norteñas, banda. It aims to create a queer and trans-inclusive, poc-centered dance benefit to raise awareness of issues impacting our communities-- proceeds support the work of organizations and groups. Every 3rd Friday of the month!


Qulture Collective

Qulture Collective brings together artists, entrepreneurs, activists, and visionaries from queer and allied communities. The Qulture Collective envisions strengthening the vibrant community in Oakland by collectively creating a shared space to build enterprise. This generates an ongoing cycle of support and jobs that will benefit the community for years to come.

Oakland LGBTQ Community Center

The Oakland LGBTQ Community Center is dedicated to enhancing and sustaining the well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) individuals, our families and allies, by providing educational, social, and health related activities, programs and services. 


PFLAG Hayward/East Bay

PFLAG are parents, families, friends & straight allies united with LGBT people for the equality, health, and well-being of the queer community. Join to support, educate, and advocate.


PFLAG Oakland/East Bay

The Oakland/East Bay chapter of Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays is part of an international organization promoting the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends. It does this through support to cope with an adverse society, education to enlighten an ill-informed public, and advocacy to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights.

PFLAG provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.

Somos Familia

Somos Familia was founded by two moms from the East Bay (San Francisco Bay Area) with Latino gay and bisexual sons in 2007 to reach out to other families.  With an all-volunteer group of different generations we established the following mission and vision.  Somos Familia’s mission is to create support and acceptance for Latina(o) lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning youth and their families. They envision a world where youth of all sexual orientations, gender expressions and identities are accepted and celebrated by their families and communities.

Kaiser Permanente Multi-Specialty Transitions Department, Oakland

The Multi-Specialty Transitions Department (MST) at Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center is deeply committed to providing equitable, compassionate and high-quality medical care to transgender patients and their families. The specialist team consists of providers from surgery, internal medicine, gynecology, psychiatry, social services and nursing, who work together to provide comprehensive healthcare for Kaiser Permanente members needing gender-affirming health care services, including hormone consultations, surgical evaluations, psychological services, and gynecologic care.


Seniors

Lavender Seniors of the East Bay

Lavender Seniors of the East Bay’s mission is to improve the quality of life of older lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) residents of Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Lavender Seniors advances this mission through direct services, outreach, advocacy and education. A critical aspect of this work is ensuring that LGBT elders are well-prepared emotionally, physically, legally, and socially in their later years.

GSA Network

Gay-Straight Alliance Network (GSA Network) is a next-generation LGBTQ racial and gender justice organization that empowers and trains queer, trans and allied youth leaders to advocate, organize, and mobilize an intersectional movement for safer schools and healthier communities. 

 A Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) is a student-run club in a high school or middle school that brings together LGBTQ and straight students to support each other, provide a safe place to socialize, and create a platform to fight for racial, gender, LGBTQ, and economic justice.

Our Space- Hayward

Our Space is an LGBTQ youth community center that holds the experiences, strengths and needs of systems-involved youth at our core, and recognizes these youth as fierce and fabulous change-agents in our community. Our Space is located in Hayward, CA and is a program of Bay Area Youth Center/Sunny Hills Services.
